Stem Cell therapy and Korean Thermal Massager (2007-08)

With Dr. Roy on 1st January 2007: -

Tab pramipex or Pramirol .25 mg was again added to ½ two times in a day. The rest was the same. On 25th February 2007, Pramirole .25 mg was increased to 3 times.

At Manipal Hospital Bangalore: -

Through the newspaper, it was known that in Manipal Hospital Bangalore treatment of an American citizen named Andrew was going on through Stem cell, and in the newspaper dated 22nd May 2007 it was written that he had fully recovered from Parkinson's after U.S. doctors were of no help. My son Sameer was posted in Bangalore at that time so we went there by flight.

Sameer took an appointment at Manipal hospital on 26th May 2007 with Dr. Uday A. Murgod DM (Neuro) who informed that treatment through stem cell has not opened for the public as it is still in the research stage. The case of the U.S citizen was referred by the govt of India for trial. Though it was a success it will take time to start the treatment maybe 5 years or more. The prescription was given by him which is given below and suggested contacting the National Institute of Mental Health & Nero Science Bangalore called NIMHANS.

The date of NIMHANS Hospital was 29th June 2007 so in the meantime, we took an appointment of a Neuro physician at M.S. Ramaiah Memorial hospital who after examining declared P.D. of 3rd grade. He prescribed Syndopa CR two times a day along with usual medicines i.e., Tidomet L.S 4 Times. See prescription below:

AT NIMHANS HOSPITAL ON 29th June 2007:-

With great efforts, an appointment with Dr. Pramod Pal, head of Neuro was taken for 29th June 2007. First, my wife was checked by a team of doctors and a full case was prepared and then Dr. Pal examined my wife. He firstly informed that some research work is going on with medicine in the USA. They do not know the ingredients and before participating in the research work, we have to sign an undertaking that in any case, the Institute will not be responsible for the results. The blood test would be done every 15 days. We did not agree to participate so he gave a prescription enclosed below. It was a trial of the same medicines with a slightly high and distributed dose of pramipex & Syndopa which my wife was already taking.

After 2 years of use of Travastal LA capsule, it was discontinued as it was not giving a good result as it did before. During our stay in Bangalore, we visited the ISKCON temple which is one of the largest ISKON temples in the world. After several checks, you have to climb many stairs to reach the main temple. Once you have Darshan, you will be made to walk through all the different stalls before coming back. You will be given Prasad after you finally come out of the temple. Although Darshan was very tiresome for my wife, we did not face many issues. We returned to Lucknow by flight with a wheelchair with us.

On 1st July 2008 with Dr. A.K.Roy:-

Same prescription dated 7th January 8 with Domstal 10 mg – two times & Co-Q-10 two times. The change was that my younger son sent Sinemet fort (250+25) from Hong Kong. ¼ of this medicine was to be given 5 times in place of Tidomet 110- ¾ five times. Domstal 10 mg was added for stomach & nausea. Domstal often helped restore normal appetite reported by Parkinson's patients. It improves stomach emptying without worsening the signs of Parkinson's disease.

THERAPY AT CERAGEM CENTER: -

A Ceragem Center was running in Indiranagar Lucknow with 20 machines running in the center. This is a Korean thermal Massager which was very popular and hundreds of people were taking therapy. It was said that every illness could be cured by taking the treatment. Before taking the therapy, I discussed with the Korean people who were in charge whether this will cure Parkinson's disease as well. Their answer was neither positive nor negative. I studied their papers and found them suitable to relieve stress, back, and muscle pain & improve blood circulation, etc.

My wife started taking the therapy with effect on 1st July 2008. Soon there was a great rush because the therapy was free of cost. About 45 minutes were taken to complete the therapy. The Center was on the 2nd floor and the stairs were not protected so it was very difficult to go there. Anyhow my wife took therapy for three months there while looking for other centers as well. Many people purchased the machines and opened their own centers with Rs 50 per sitting. I found one center near the Engineering college Lucknow so I start taking my wife there. I found there to be some relief in body & back pain though there was no relief in Parkinson's. I purchased one machine on 19th January 2009 and started therapy at home till 12th September 2010.
