PDF ORGANISATION USA: -
There is a PDF ORGANIZATION in the USA that used to give suggestions to Parkinson's patients. I wrote a letter to them by email regarding the 3 main problems that my wife facing with the general condition and treatment being given to her. The content is as follows: -
1. How to solve the problem of balancing & freezing.
2. What to do when any dose does not work due to protein & dairy products
as she felt too much tremor and rigidity of whole body till the dose is
exhausted. She had not taken milk for two years.
3. How to increase weight as the tail bone was giving many problems.
The reply to the letter came on 23rd September 2009 the copy of which is attached below. Please go through the letter as it can help. Anybody can take suggestions from them for any problems (40). My wife's weight on 24th August 2006 was 53 kg while on 5th April 2010 it had reduced to 45 kg. They replied that it is due to increased burning calories caused by PD symptoms such as fighting to move against the rigidity of the muscles, due to a reduced sense of smell and taste, difficulty in swallowing, or depression. Now it is not possible to increase the weight. She was also allergic to a protein diet as protein increases weight so a limited protein diet was given to her.

On 19th November 2009 with Dr. A.K. Roy:
No change in medicines (41).

Due to some personal work, we shifted to Kanpur on 20th March 2010. The delivery of my youngest daughter-in-law was due so my son Gaurav took 3 months' leave from his company in Singapore. On 30th March 2010, she delivered a boy, whom we know as Adit. We came to Lucknow for a day on 5th April 2010 for a regular check with Dr. Roy. There was no change in prescription of 19th November 2009 except Sinemet 250+25 was replaced by Levomate fort 250+25 which is attached below (42).

Since Sinemet fort was now not available, a new drug Levomate fort made in Singapore was tried which gave a very good result. This medicine was arranged by Gaurav, my son working in Singapore. With this medicine coming to on position and vice versa was very smooth.
Living in Kanpur was very comfortable, with the help of medicines, my wife was doing her daily work herself without much help. In the evening we would go for walks as well. One day while walking, she sat with the ladies of our flat. I left her and went to our flat for some urgent work. Our flat was on the 3rd floor and surprisingly after ½ an hour, she came back to the flat using the lift independently. My son-in-law Arvind and daughter Sarika were in Kanpur as well. They normally visited us daily so did my daughter's son Varun aged 12 years and daughter Sakshi aged 8 years at that time. The parents of my daughter-in-law were also in Kanpur. Sometimes even they used to visit our place. My son Gaurav's leave was over so he left for Singapore in the second week of June with his wife. On 7th September 2010, we went to Lucknow for a routine checkup.
On 7th September 2010 with DR. A.K. Roy: -
The same prescription of 5th April 2010 was repeated.
Serious complication with my wife on 14th September 2010:
One day on the 14th of September, when we were going for a walk in the evening, she was not able to move her left leg properly. The medicines were also not properly working. I consulted Dr. Roy on the phone who said to come to his clinic for a check-up. I called my youngest son Gaurav from Singapore and went to Dr. Roy on 15th September 2010 who after the checkup said ups & down are a feature in Parkinson's disease. The prescription was the same. He recommended giving Tidomet LS to be dissolved in water.
The next morning i.e., 16th September 2010 our schedule was to return to Kanpur. We just thought in the evening to visit our family Dr. Vikram Mehta to consult him as well. I reached Dr. Mehta’s clinic at about 8 PM. He was busy seeing other patients. I requested him to see my wife in the car as she was not able to come to his clinic. Dr. Mehta immediately took a torch and came to see my wife. He asked me one question seeing her eyes whether she had any head injury in the near past. I told him that to my knowledge there was no head injury. He then asked for CT SCAN OF the HEAD in the morning at Kanpur.
I, along with my son Gaurav returned to Kanpur the next morning and with the help of my son-in-law Arvind's friend Dr. Sanjay Singhvi CT scan of the head was done with great effort as too many tremors of the whole body were going on. The report of the CT Scan was abnormal. There was blood all over the periphery of the head called Bilateral Chronic SDH. In the night Dr. Singhvi took an appointment with the leading Neurosurgeon, Dr. I. N. Vajpeyi of Kanpur who said that surgery on the head is to be done to drain the blood out of the head. He was ready to do the surgery but recommended getting it done at Lucknow where she was undergoing the treatment of Parkinson's as a Neuro physician will also be required.
My elder son Sameer also came from Singapore to Kanpur and we all along with my daughter Sarika came back to Lucknow. On the 16th, at noon we consulted Dr. Roy with the CT SCAN who referred the case to the Neurosurgeon of Nishat hospital. As we were in confusion about whether surgery is required or not, we went to SGPGI on 17th September 2010 and met Dr. Pradhan who recommended a few blood tests & MRI of the head. His prescription is attached below He said that an operation is required and will be done by Dr. Sanjai Behari, a neurosurgeon of SGPGI. The blood sample was given but for the MRI of the Head, the date was given 3 days later so we returned home (43).

At about 7 pm on 18th September 2010 when a dose of Parkinson's was given it reacted and the whole body was shaking very badly. My son Sameer, immediately contacted Neuro physician Dr. Sandeep Agarwal of SAHARA hospital, and my wife was admitted in an emergency on the night of 18th September 2010. Up until morning, her body shaking was gone. The prescription of the treatment given is attached below (44). She was shifted to a Neuro private room on the 19th of September 2010 morning.

In Sahara hospital, Neuro Surgeon was Dr. Mazhar Hussain who was also head of the department in KGMC and previously came to see my wife on the morning of 19th September 2010. After seeing the previous CT SCAN he believed that surgery is required to drain out the blood from the head. He asked me to take the decision and inform him so that he may go further. On 20th September 2010 morning, Dr. Mazhar visited my wife and we gave our consent for the operation. Necessary tests like blood tests, urea, serum calcium, creatinine, sodium potassium, LFT, CT scan, MRI, etc. were completed. reports are attached below (45,46,47,48) and the date for the operation was fixed on 23rd September 2010.

An Anesthetist came on 22nd September 2010 to see my wife who was not convinced that her hemoglobin level was 11.8 as shown. She was looking very weak as her weight was only 46 kg. Again on the 23rd morning at 6 AM blood test was done. Hemoglobin was 11.8 again but Anesthetist refused to give full anesthesia. Dr. Mazar decided to do the operation with local anesthesia.
My wife was taken to OT at about 9 AM on 23rd September 2010. Two burr holes were drilled at both sides of the head to evacuate the blood. My wife was in full senses while the operation was completed in 5 hours. When she came to the room after the operation she was completely conscious. We were shocked when she said she was hearing the sound of drill M/c. All family members including my younger brother Mr. Rakesh, and his wife Mrs. Geeta were sitting outside of OT and hearing the drill m/c sound and were scared of what was going on. Two plastic tubes were connected to both sides of the head to drain the complete blood till no traces of blood remained. Neuro physician Dr. Sandeep Agarwal was now looking after my wife.
A lady attendant named Anushka Patel was also with my wife who was helping her with daily routine work. For every work, my wife used to call Anushka even when her duty was over. Anushka was about 16 years of age always smiling and soon she was very favorable to all of us. The date of discharge from the hospital was fixed for 1st October 2010. The discharge certificate is attached below (49). One-month prescription while discharge is also enclosed (50).
