On 14th May 2015 with Dr. A.K. Roy:

No change in prescription but some tests which were written were shown to him this time. See ( 57)

Now the major problem began. She was not able to take food. Food used to get stuck in the mouth (choking). The medicines which were used also stopped working properly. She also developed a bed sore. My son Gaurav also came from Hong Kong. Then we contacted our family physician, Dr. Vikram Mehta on 27th May 2015. He suggested some cream with proper dressing for the bed sore. He also suggested a tube to lie down on. For intake of food, he asked to bring a ryles tube to be fitted in the mouth. Dr. Mehta suggested a C.T. Scan of the head and consulting a Neuro physician. Gaurav brought the Ryles tube for mouth feeding but my wife refused to get it fitted. See (58).

With extra care by Anushka (caretaker of my wife) the Bedsore was cured as she was an expert in dressing. For feeding, it was found that she had no problem taking Tea so some semi-liquid diet was prepared by Anushka and the problem was minimized.

I got a heart attack on 11th March 2015:

I was feeling some severe back pain on 8th March 2015 but there was an appointment of my wife with a dental physician at 11 am so I drove my car and reached the clinic. Anushka along with a wheelchair took my wife to the clinic and I asked the Dr. to finish the work. I returned to my car and lay on the seat. My pain was creeping very badly as I was not able to sit in my car. Anushka came to me and inform me that the work was finished. So, for payment, I again went into the clinic and gave the payment and then came back to my car with a great effort. I did not inform my wife about my back and chest pain. With a great effort, I drove my car to my home.

I asked Anushka to give me Disprin tab as she was about to leave for her examination at Hardoi. In the evening I contacted my family physician, Dr. Vikram Mehta, as by then I had a 102 fever. It was a Sunday so he asked me to take a Crocin tab and show him in the morning on Monday. As my wife and I were now alone so my daughter and both sons discussed about coming to Lucknow who so ever was free. My youngest son from Singapore took a night flight and was with me on the morning of Monday. My chest pain and fever were minimum so I avoided seeing the doctor. I did not go to the doctor on Tuesday as well but on Wednesday, 11th March 2015 my pulse reading was about 120pm.

My son Gaurav immediately rushed to the car along with me and reached Dr. Vikram Mehta's clinic. After checking my pulse he immediately called his compounder to bring an ECG machine. After checking he declared that I had a heart attack about 72 hours ago. He suggested that I should go to SGPGI or KGMC or that I see Dr. Nakul Sinha, a cardiologist, and his classmate who was previously in SGPGI is in Sahara hospital. He fixed my immediate appointment on phone with him, informing him about my condition. He also advised sending an attendant with a wheelchair at the gate. He asked my son to go to Sahara hospital directly from his clinic. I went to Sahara hospital without informing my wife. I informed my daughter who was in Kanpur to come immediately to Lucknow as Anushka was out of the city. In the meantime, the wife of my friend Mr. B.N. Agarwal came to help my wife until my daughter came from Kanpur. My ECG and Echo were done immediately and I was sent to OT for angioplasty. Dr. Sinha came within an hour to do angiography and found one artery chocked. He asked my son waiting outside for his permission for inserting one Stunt. The work was finished in an hour and I was sent to a room that was allotted to me.

He relived me on 13th March 2015 with a long list of medicines for my lifetime. He also asked me not to drive in the future as my one valve was working 36%. Thus, at this crucial time, I and my wife, both were handicapped. I hired a full-time driver for the future. My hunt for a cure for PARKINSON disease was still on.

It was learned that a good Neurologist Dr. Abhishek Srivastava has joined Sahara hospital. So, on 5th June 2015, we decided to take an appointment there.

On 5th June 2015 with Dr. Abhishek Srivastava:

At 10 am we reached Sahara hospital and after taking an appointment, we went to the OPD. Our number was 40 and after learning when our turn will come I was informed that it will come in the afternoon. Then we went for a CT scan of the brain of my wife and returned with the report at 2:30 pm. Our turn came at about 3-30 pm. The whole file was seen by Dr. Srivastava. After examining the file and my wife he thought that there are no other medicines in the field of Parkinson and since the main medicine Tidomet LS is not working properly so he suggested trying a combination of whole-day medicine of Tidomet LS i.e., 4 tabs +1 liter of water +2 tabs of vitamin c (limcee) and give this mixture 55 ml hourly from 6 AM to 11 PM daily.

The other medicines were the same. See (59).

I tried this combination for the first time but the condition became worse because there was no on position with this combination. So, we had to revert to the original prescription of Dr. Roy

The condition of my wife was detonating day by day but with the help of our caretaker Anushka, my wife was performing daily routine work with little difficulty. By the end of Nov 2015, she began to see small creatures moving on the floor of the room or the bed. In the beginning, it was not all the time but she felt that while sleeping in the afternoon she began to see some people at the door of the bedroom (mostly some Sardars). They seemed to disappear when the light was switched on. During the night before sleeping, she used to feel a lot of children on the bed when the lights were off. It was really difficult to make an appointment with the Neuro physician as we had to wait for a long time for our turn to come. So, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Srivastava of Sahara hospital at his home which was about 1 km from our house. His timings were 6:30 to 10 pm.

On 16th December 2015 with Dr. Abhishek Srivastava:

The problem was discussed with Dr. Abhishek. He thought that these are all the side effects of Parkinson's medicines. The term is called Hallucination means an experience of seeing something that is not really there. He added one medicine QUTAN 25 mg. Half of this is to be given in the night before going to sleep. It can be increased by 1 tab if required.

On 19th January 2016 with Dr. A.K. Roy:

Vitamin B12 was checked on 19th January 2016 attached at (61).

The same problems of Hallucinations were discussed with Dr. Roy. He also added the same medicine QUTAN 25 mg. Half of this medicine was to be given at the night and could be increased to one if required. Rest prescriptions remain the same.

On 14th April 2016 with Dr. Abhishek Srivastava:

The Hallucination problem was increasing day by day so I again contacted Dr. Srivastava on 14th April 2016. He reduced the dose of AMENTRAL TO ½ three times a day instead of one rest was the same. See (62)

Now another problem was felt. She was having a low-grade fever so I contacted our family doctor, Dr. Vikram Mehta on the 19th of April 2016.

My Wife’s caretaker Anushka's MA final exams were from 18th April 2016 to 25th April 2016. The exam center was at Mallawa in the Hardoi district. So, I contacted Dr. Gulshan Kumar to send a lady nurse for 15 days. The nurse joined before Anushka left for examination i.e., on 10th April 2016. Before leaving Anushka explained all the work to the nurse.

On 19th April 2016 with Dr. Vikram Mehta:

After examining my wife Dr. Vikram said that she is having Typhoid fever and prescribed a 14-day remedy for the fever. He suggested stopping Pacitane to reduce hallucination. Testing for typhoid fever is attached on (63) and prescription at (64)

After a few days, she was again feeling difficulty in swallowing. Now this time she was feeling some difficulty in drinking water as well. Swallowing medicines was also becoming more difficult. Dr. Vikram Mehta again suggested feeding through Ryles tube but my wife refused. My wife was not satisfied with the new nurse as she was preparing breakfast which was full of masalas and ghee so on 22nd April 2016 the nurse was sent back.

Note: I am not a doctor, please consult a Neuro physician for diagnosis and treatment for Parkinson's, here I have narrated the journey of my wife's Parkinson's journey.
