End of my wife's Parkinson's Journey on a fatal day: 24th April 2016

Anushka had a break on 24th April 2016 so she came back from Malawi without any intimation on the night of 23rd April 2016. In the morning my wife took morning tea as usual. She was looking very weak in the morning but she went to the bathroom for a bath with Anushka. After dressing she went for pooja not in the pooja room but on her chair in the bedroom. Anushka also went for her morning routine work. She also did pooja as usual and prepared breakfast for us. At 9:30 my wife took papita and some poha with difficulty. She asked Anushka to take her to bed as she wanted to take some rest. At 1 pm, lunch was made and was ready by the cook. My wife was taking a semi-liquid diet like Khichdi but on this day, she asked the cook to prepare Roti and Dal.

Anushka's last paper was on 25th April 2016 so she had to catch a train for Mallawa at 3:30 pm. Anushika brought lunch at 1:15 pm for me and my wife in the bedroom. I was just going to start my lunch when I SAW MY WIFE WHO WAS STRUGGLING FOR TAKING A BREATH AS HER THROAT WAS CHOKED WITH THE FIRST BITE. I immediately rushed and clapped on the back of my wife but it was in vain as she was becoming unconscious. I asked Anushka to take her to my car to the nearby hospital, Shekhar hospital which is very near to my house. I could not wait for the driver to come. Anushka immediately held my wife on her shoulder and rushed into the car standing on the porch. I immediately drove to the hospital while my wife was lying in the lap of Anushka who was shouting to awake my wife but my wife became unconscious. In a hurry, we reached the hospital in a few minutes. Anushka immediately took a wheelchair and rushed to OT which was on the first floor. I immediately called for doctors on duty who also rushed to the OT room. Two Doctors tried for 15 minutes to revive my wife but it was in vain.

At about 13:45 doctors came out and said that they were sorry as they could not do anything. The girl Anushka who served my wife for six years was weeping very badly. She also refused to go to Mallawa for her last paper. By this time my younger brother and his wife came to the hospital and informed my two sons who were abroad and my daughter who was in Kanpur. Anushka was also persuaded by them to go to Mallawa for her last paper. Thus, it was the end of the PARKINSON JOURNEY of my wife which started on 22nd November 1991 and finished on 24th April 2016. The death certificate given by Shekhar Hospital is at (65).

Note: I am not a doctor, please consult a Neuro physician for diagnosis and treatment for Parkinson's, here I have narrated the journey of my wife's Parkinson's journey.
