On 22nd March 2003 at Dr. Atul Kumar Roy:

He added Syndopa CR in the night Selegiline 5 mg and Ropark 5 three times a day to counter the effect of TB medicines & the rest of the prescription was the same. Due to TB, she was feeling very weak and was not able to move in bed at night so the medicine Sinemet CR was added for the night (23).

Consultation with Girish Gupta Homeopath:

On 1st April 2003, I consulted Dr. Girish Gupta, a famous homeopath. First, there was registration then a team of junior doctors with a questionnaire checked my wife, and after that Dr. Gupta was consulted. He assured me that the disease will be cured but it will take time. Medicines from his clinic were given but no prescription was given with them. It was deposited there to be taken on the next visit. After approximately six months of treatment, there was no improvement so I discontinued the treatment.

I also went to another homeopath, Dr. Jitendra Shukla MD whose advertisement to cure Parkinson's and writer cramp, a similar disease was seen by me in Dainik Jagran but after 6 months of treatment, I believed that in homeopathy as well, there is no cure of the disease. Though in between two more homeopaths were also tried one was Dr. Saksena at Rajendra Nagar and the other at chowk but both had no result.

At SGPGI ON 18th October 2003:

Same prescription dated 19th August 2002 (21)

The treatment of Dr. Pradhan and Dr. Roy was continued as there was no other option left except allopathy.

1st February 2004 at NIMS Hyderabad:

My elder son Sameer was shifted from Pune to Hyderabad so we went to Hyderabad for a change. There we took an appointment at Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences with the head of the department of neurology. He, after checking insisted on Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery (DBS). In this operation, two electrodes are implanted in the brain and attached to a battery. Though it was not a cure it was said tremors, rigidity, and slowness will be controlled with minimum medicines. Major risks were involved and after implantation, regular checkup was also needed frequently so we did not agree with this operation as this was also not a permanent solution.

Eyesight tests and teeth repair work were done in Hyderabad. We also visited Ramoji Film City, Charminar, Birla Temple, and Golkonda Fort. With the minor adjustment in medicines, my wife could visit all the above places with ease. While visiting Ramoji film city, when we were at the gate there were nearly 40 steps to reach the ground where the bus was standing. She slipped on the 2nd step losing her balance and reached the ground and injured herself badly. She was given first aid but despite the knee injury, she saw complete film city sometimes on foot and sometimes on bus. This only shows her courage and strong willpower to fight against the disease which is said to be incurable. From Lucknow to Hyderabad and vice versa we traveled by flight with a request for a wheelchair to be arranged by the airport authority.

At SGPGI on 19th April 2004 with Dr. Pradhan:

Same prescription dated 19th April 2002 ( 21 )

With Dr. Shubh Mehrotra MS on 18th May 2004:

My wife had severe back pain and body pain for which I consulted Dr. Shubh Malhotra MS (ortho) on 18th May 2004 and 28th May 2004 who prescribed a set of injections of vitamin D-3 and B-12 with a pain killer and other medicines with an X-ray of L.S. Spine. This treatment was to be continued for 15 days. Attached below (24):

On 10th June 2004 and 8th July 2004 with Dr. Atul Kumar Roy:

The same prescription of 22nd March 2003 was repeated except for one more medicine i.e., Travastal LA to be taken one time. This was added at my request. The result of Travastal LA was good as on-time was increased and there was a smooth flow of Sinemet/Syndopa i.e., Dopamine in the brain when the dose of medicines was given.

On 27th November 2004:

We went to Aligarh by train (where my wife belongs ) for the marriage of the younger son, Anurag of her brother late Sri Dinesh Kishore to be performed on 29th November 2004 as she wanted to meet all her relatives. There we stayed with her cousin's brothers' family named Pradeep, Vijay, Surendra, and Yogendra. She enjoyed it a lot, forgetting her Parkinson's disease during our stay at Aligarh. The journey to Aligarh was comfortable but while returning on 1st December 2004 by train, we could not catch the direct train from Aligarh to Lucknow. So we had to change the train at Kanpur. With a great difficulty, of change over of the platform it became such that we had to decide that in future we will not travel by train. It was her last trip to Aligarh (to her native home) in her life.

On 10th December 2004 At SGPGI with Dr. Sunil Pradhan:

Same prescription as on 19th August 2002 except Travastal LA was added one time on my request as it was giving good result with Sinemet.

Note: I am not a doctor, please consult a Neuro physician for diagnosis and treatment for Parkinson's, here I have narrated the journey of my wife's Parkinson's journey.
